This is Seera on a fallen log which spans a deep little gorge. She follows me out on anything. |

Drove to the crappy little Rutland theater to see Spiderman 3. There were only 4 people in the theater. After the movie i snapped the above pic in the bathroom of the place. |
Hiked the AT/LT loop around the White Rocks Picnic Area. |
Hiked in a new area up toward Wallingford Pond. Didn't actually make it to the pond and didn't realize how close i was to it. |
Hiked all the way up to Wallingford Pond this time, then looped back around until i ran out of trail. Teco disappeared for about half an hour while i was stomping around the mucky woods yelling for him. Finally he showed up and i used my GPS to aim back to the truck through the woods. |
Leaf along the railroad tracks. |
I took the dogs for a walk out along the railroad tracks. From where i took this picture, i walked on the rail all the way back to East Wallingford. Probably not quite a mile, but close. |
I woke up at 4:30 AM to the sounds of my neighbor's rooster crowing and since i had to get up anyway, i got up, ate breakfast, then drove down to Ft. Devens, MA for a one-day ultimate tournament. I played with Fossil Fuel, and we lost both of our pool games to Das Boot (15-7) and NY/CT Metro (15-6), then won our consolation game against WIPP (15-10). I saw a bunch of the observer crew there, but didn't observe any games since i was playing. After the games i stopped by Greg & Edna's house but no one was home, so i drove back to VT. |
Hiked up the AT/LT and down to the Greenwalt Shelter, then continued on along the old route of the AT until it petered out in a bog. Instead of going back, i braved a swath of stinging nettles and worked my way through the woods and along an old logging road back to the trail. |
Hiked North up the AT/LT from the parking lot on Route 140. |
Hiked out to the farther access point of Wallingford Pond. |
Took the dogs out for a walk along the AT/LT south from Rt. 103. I met a hiker from Amsterdam at the summit of a ridge and shared some of my water with him as he was running out. Then on the way back down i almost stepped on this snake. Seera tried to catch it but it slithered away. |
