Worked in the challenge course all day. I was supposed to have a book signing at Mountain Outfitters that afternoon, but it was cold and windy and there was hardly anyone around, so we cancelled it. |
Toni called out so Katie and i did three zip tours. I led the first one and Katie led the next two. Worked in the challenge course for an hour after the last tour. |
Pouring rain all day. Adventure Zone and zipline tours were all closed. |
Did two zip tours with Katie. I led the first, she the second. There wasn't any afternoon tour, so i worked in the challenge course for the afternoon. When i got home, i watched two live broadcasts at the same time: Erin McKeown and the Women's final from the USAU Pro Championships, Boston Brute Squad vs. Seattle Riot. |
Went in at 1:00 to do inspection and one tour of 8 Marker/Volkl employees with Shaun. It rained a little bit on the first zip, but cleared up by the third. |
Disc golf league night. I shot par for the low score of the night. |

Did three tours with Katie. She led all three. After work i drove over to Camp Plymouth State Park and hung out with Chris Saylor and a bunch of Okemo Ski + Ride School folks. Chris made some delicious brisket. |
Did inspection with Shaun, then helped set up the challenge course, then did one tour as sweep guide with Shaun, then worked in the challenge course for the rest of the afternoon. On the inspection run i tried a front flip off of tower 5, then did a front flip on the tour off of tower 2. |
Drove down to Providence. Took a wandering route down there to pick up some Moss Motoring Challenge points. Had dinner with Naima and Isaiah then went to The Met in Pawtucket to see DADA. SETLIST:

I took a circuitous route back home, first heading south to a fork in the road near Adamsville, RI, then across Rhode Island, nipping a corner of Connecticut, and up to a 1915 steam engine next to a restaurant in Palmer, MA. I stopped there for a late lunch and watched a really long freight train rumble by, then pushed north up back roads and eventually to my house. |

Drove up to the British Invasion. Talked with a few local people. Came home via the Lincoln Gap, which is a very steep road. I had to go all the way down to first gear for one section. |
Slow day in the challenge course. |

On the recommendation of a couple of people i called up a guy in Proctorsville who worked on brass-era automobiles. I was looking for a 1900-1909 vehicle for the Moss Motoring Challenge and as luck would have it, he had his 1908 Locomobile Type E out that day. I drove over, took a few pics, and talked with him for a while, checking out the other old cars in his garage. The Locomobile that he has is the ONLY 1908 Type E in existence!

Disc golf league night. I shot a -2 for the low score of the night. |

I was on team 1, but when i got to work, team 2 hadn't yet started inspection. It was cold and raining steadily so the morning tours got rescheduled and team 2 went home. Katie and i did the inspection in the rain and got down to find out that the 11 o'clock tour was cancelled as well. We waited for a while then Katie, Adeline, and i went out to pull the ropes. That evening i went over to Evening Song Farm for a going-away party for Kate and Joe. |
